Grip Waxes
Hardwaxes (Sticks)
This section will point out the must haves of the Rode standard hardwax line. Though these waxes will cover a great variety of conditons, we recommend to have the whole line to fill in any gaps that these great waxes don't fill in.
-
Blue Super P32
Buy Rode Blue Super P32By far the most popular hardwax in the Rode line up! The Blue Super is fast but super grippy at the same time! You can throw this wax on in any cold blue conditions, even well below its stated range of -1 to -10C, and have perfect skis! This is one of the 3 main Rode Blues, cover every blue condition by getting all 3!
-
Viola Special Multigrade P46
Buy Rode Viola Special Multigrade P46Viola Multigrade is the recreational wax! This wax is perfect for the ranges of 0 to -5C, when most rec skiers head out. This wax is a perfect gripper! Not usually used for racing as the ski will usually slow right down with this wax to the comfort zone of the average joe.
-
Viola P40
Buy Rode Viola P40Viola is a race-ready hardwax for just below zero conditions, hence its nickname 'Zero'! The Viola is well known for its consistent grip and glide. If you are mainly rec/training, save this for the days you need to go faster and use the multigrade for days that you don't need to go fast.
-
Blue Special Multigrade P36
Buy Rode Blue Special Multigrade P36Similarly to the Viola Multigrade, the Blue Multigrade is a very popular recreational gripwax. This wax covers the colder range of recreational ski endeavours. The part that doesn't follow the P46 is the fact that the P36 has some speed behind it!
-
Blue Super Extra P38
Buy Rode Blue Super Extra P38Blue Super Extra is Super Extra good! P38 is great for fresh, falling snow that isn't too humid. A great race-ready grip wax for tricky snowballing conditions. This is one of the 3 main Rode Blues, cover every blue condition by getting all 3!
-
Blue Super Weiss P28
Buy Rode Super Weiss P28The blue that isn't blue! Super Weiss is the best for untransformed, fresh blue snow that has been skied in! You could call it greasy, without the glaze factor. The Super Weiss has tales of being a king in conditions you wouldn't except but it sure is good in the ones that you do expect! P28 is the 3rd in the Rode Blue Super Trio!
-
Green P20
Buy Rode Green P20The Green hardwax is one of a few very cold gripwaxes from Rode. The P20 is the best one to use by itself as a cold, dry snow grip. Very popular in Canada! You can also use this as a cover for warmer waxes to speed them up, but the P10 Alaska and P15 Green Special are slightly more popular for that use.
-
Rossa P50
Buy Rode Rossa P50The Rode Rossa hardwax is a go to option for warm snow before switching to klister. Rossa has bite for those conditions that need it. If you need the stickiness but not as much bite for colder red conditions, try the Rot Extra.
Klisters
This section will point out the must haves of the Rode standard klister line. A few options here are world famous and arguably the best of the best!
-
Multigrade K76
Buy Rode Multigrade K76Rode's Multigrade is one of the best klisters that money can buy! If you want to follow just numbers, we sell almost twice as many Multigrades than the second most sold klister. K76 gives you great grip and glide on any coarse condition, wet or dry.
-
Rossa K40
Buy Rode Rossa K40The second most popular Rode klister, Rossa is their mixer of the bunch. Mixing with Multigrade in different ratios can find you grip in almost every klister condition! K40 adds tackiness and anti-icing properties making it great for wet and coarse conditions.
-
Violet K30
Buy Rode Violet K30Like most violets, the K30 will be used in variable icy conditions. These conditions will almost always be aggressive so you may want a good base underneath. Violet is often mixed with Rossa for higher moisture snow, or multigrade for very aggressive conditions to give it a bit more bite!
-
Blue K20
Buy Rode Blue K20Soft, yet hard at the same time. Originally designed for icy, crusty snow (skare in Norwegian). Though it is a great kicker on its own in these conditions, it is most commonly used as a binder. Cover it with softer hardwaxes or klisters for a great, durable race set up!
-
Chola K90
Buy Rode Chola K90Probably one of the most aggressive and durable binders on the market, Chola is a favourite for wax techs! It is necessary to bind your kicking wax to the Chola with a bit of heat due to how hard it sets. If done improperly, you may find a that your kickwax will rip right off the Chola. Apply thin!
-
Rossa Special K46
Buy Rode Rossa Special K46A harder version of Rossa designed for glazing snow. Used in finer snow than regular Rossa, but still quite moist. K46 is also best used as a mixer, a must have in your wax box!
-
Violet Special K36
Buy Rode Violet Special K36A harder, colder violet klister best for finer grained, icy snow. This one is most commonly used as a base for softer klisters, or blue condition hardwaxes. Also test out by mixing it with standard hardwax bases!
-
Silver Extra K52
Buy Rode Silver Extra K52A tough-condition-to-pinpoint klister. Silver Extra is for changing conditions, best to try when wet snow changes to dry, corny snow, or when snow is falling on wet tracks. Getting the wax right in these conditions is often a tough ask, this wax will often bail you out here.
Top Line Hardwaxes
The Rode Top Line (T-Line) hardwax series is a somewhat new racing-specific grip wax series. These grippers have been proving themselves in races since the late 2010s.
-
VXPS
Buy Rode VXPSThe VXPS is the softest of the T-Line hardwaxes. It is similar to the Violet Extra as being a bit stickier. VXPS is for those conditions where there is often a choice between good grip or good glide. This wax will give you both!
-
VPS
Buy Rode VPSThe VPS is generally described as a racier version of the standard Viola. VPS will be the best option just below freezing. Great for fine grained, fresh snow that has yet to transform. If you need a bit more stickiness, switch to the VXPS!
-
VO
Buy Rode VOThe VO is the coldest of the 3 violet Top Lines. Think of this one as a warm blue. It tests similarly to the Viola Multigrade grip wise, but with raceable levels of glide! Great for fresh, fine grained snow.
-
BV15
Buy Rode BV15BV15 is the warmest of the three colder T-Line hardwaxes. It is used most effectively in old, non-compacted snow. It is even used successfully in man-made snow. If you need a bit more bite on your B17, use the BV15 to add a bit more gripping power.
-
B17
Buy Rode B17B17 is the raciest blue in the Rode line-up! Test along side your standard favourites: Blue Super, Multigrade, Extra, and Weiss. Formulated for mild/mid-cold, fresh, fine grained conditions. A fast glider means it might be "too fast" for some grip lovers!
-

Buy Rode B310B310 is the coldest of the T-Line hardwaxes. Formulated for cold, fresh, fine-grained snow with blue and green properties, this wax makes a great gliding gripper! Test against the colder blues, or warmer greens. Also makes a great layer wax!
Top Line Klisters
The Rode Top Line (T-Line) klister series is a somewhat new racing-specific grip wax series. These grippers have been proving themselves in races since the late 2010s. The T-Line klisters are great gliders over the standard line equivalents!

-
KM3
Buy Rode KM3The KM3 is the universal racing klister. It is a mixture of K3 and Multigrade K76. Use this in all kinds of variable, old, wet and icy snow conditions.
-
