Canadian Wintersports Inc. (CWS), founded in 1970, is an outdoor winter sports participation company focusing on Cross-Country skiing and winter sports equipment in Canada.

 

Our Divisions:

Canadian Wintersports Inc. Wholesale & Distribution Division:

The CWS Wholesale & Distribution division specializes in quickly supplying sports equipment and sales service to ski shops, other sports equipment resellers, high-volume purchasers, and non-profits.

Canadian Wintersports Inc. Coaching & Consulting Division:

The CWS Coaching & Consulting Division is tasked with creating high-performance and life-long winter sports experiences by disseminating winter sports expertise to a vast network of individuals and organizations.

Skiwax.ca is our retail e-commerce store geared toward individuals lacking a convenient local ski shop, or those looking for niche products not commonly found on store shelves.

CEO

Owner and CEO Andy Shields is a former cross-country ski racer. He competed in the World Cup as recently as 2018. With 32 World Cup starts, two NorAm overall victories, several national championship podiums, and represented Canada at the World U23 and World Junior Championships, he has been a lifelong skier since starting with the Waterloo Region Nordic Sports Club at a very young age. Having participated in nearly all aspects of the sport, he is pleased to continue to bring his passion to life through CWS.
